How to design jewelry

Stop thinking about designing jewelry and start observing what's happening around you and then capture it.

Look around and note things that catch your eye...

Whatever you do, capture it by taking a picture, sketching it, or ripping it out of a magazine - what ever you do make sure you have some sort of notation.

If you're making something for someone else, think of the things they like or dislike and write them down. What kind of art do they have on the walls at work or home. Those will help generate ideas.

Running in to mental road-blocks?

If you run into mental road-blocks, that's alright. A really good jeweler can create just about anything you want. An even better jeweler can listen to your ideas and create exactly what you want... even if you're not sure what it is.

Cost

The cost will fluctuate based on the materials used, the complexity of what you want, and how much material is needed.

The only way to get an idea of how much it'll cost is to set up an appointment with one of our designers. We'll spend as little or as long as needed to create the final design, tell you how much it'll cost, and how figure out long it'll take (typically 3-4 weeks).

If at any time you feel the cost is out of your range, tell the designer. It's their job to help get you what you want in the budget you have. Still, if that does not work, consider walking around in the store. You'll find a lot of pre-made pieces of jewelry.
